William Halpin
Stage Director
William Halpin has been the stage director for the opera department and professor of flute at the Dublin Institute of Technology Conservatory of Music and Drama, since 1980. During that time, he has been involved in many of the Conservatory's major events.
In January 1996 he produced and directed the very successful gala concert of the combined orchestras of the DIT Conservatory of Music and the Royal Irish Academy of Music, which took place in the National Concert Hall.
In 1999 he was assistant stage director to Franz Paul Decker for the performance in the National Concert Hall of Ravel's opera L'Enfant et le Sortileges.
In November 2001 Willy produced and directed the very successful "Ford" Opera Gala in the National Concert Hall.
