Jacquelyn Giles began her long singing career with a performance of the National Anthem at the age of eight for a large gathering of Brownie Scouts in San Diego.

Her family later moved to Massachusetts where, after graduation from from Winthrop High School, she began vocal studies with, Mme. Emilia Ippolito-Giardini of Boston University an alumna of the famed Naples Conservatory.

Jacquelyn was a Metropolitan Opera Auditions regional finalist, and went on to perform leading soprano roles such as Tosca, Musetta in La Boheme, Beatrice in Boccaccio, Leonora in Il Trovatore, Adina in L'Elisir d'Amore, Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana and Micaela in a production of Carmen with the great mezzo-soprano, Regina Resnik in the title role.

Jacquelyn has been a featured soloist with symphony orchestras and in recital, and portrayed musical comedy characters, Sister Margaretta in The Sound of Music, Nettie in Carousel, and Christine, the tap dancing ex-chorus girl in Stephen Sondheim's, Follies. Stage appearances include the title role in Anastasia and the Widow Quinn in The Playboy of the Western World. She now lives in the Tacoma, WA area and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Tacoma Opera.
